Level Up Your Dividend Game: Go-To Resources 🚀

Alright, fellow Dividenders 🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️

We all know that in the world of investing, knowledge is power. But with so much information out there, it can feel like trying to find a needle in a haystack, or should we say, a decent yield in a low-interest-rate world!

That's why we are sharing our go-to arsenal of online resources that help me navigate the markets, sniff out promising dividends, and hopefully make some smart investment decisions along the way. These are the websites we have bookmarked and visit religiously, and we reckon they'll be right up your street too.

1. News 📰

Yahoo Finance - is our daily dose of financial news. It's like the Financial Times but free! Great for keeping up with market movements, company announcements, and general economic trends.

2. Stock Data 📊

Finance Charts - A relatively new website. It's brilliant for getting a good overview of key financial metrics. It is a great way to visualise financial data.

Finviz - This is a belter of a site for screening stocks. You can filter by all sorts of criteria, including dividend yield, P/E ratio, and market cap. The visualisation tools are top-notch, too.

Yahoo Finance - As said before, Yahoo Finance is a valuable tool, and as well as the news section, it has a comprehensive data base of companies, providing historical data, key statistics, and financial statements. A real workhorse in our research process!

3. Following the Smart Money: What Are the Big Players Doing? 🧠💰

Value Sider - Want to know what top fund managers are buying and selling? Value Sider is the place to go. It tracks the holdings of well-known value investors.

Stock Circle - Similar to Value Sider, Stock Circle provides insights into the portfolios of successful investors. It's like having a peek over their shoulders!

Capitol Trades - This one's a bit different – it tracks the trades of US politicians. Controversial, I know, but it can be interesting to see where they're putting their money (make of that what you will!).

4. Insider Insights: What's Happening Behind Closed Doors? 🚪

SecForm4 - For those who like to delve into the nitty-gritty, SEC Form 4 filings reveal insider trades within US companies. A bit technical, but it can provide valuable clues.

Open Insider - A more user-friendly way to track insider buying and selling. Open Insider makes it easy to see who's been loading up on shares or heading for the exit.

5. Mark Your Calendars: Earnings Season 🗓️

Earnings Hub - Never miss an earnings announcement! Earnings Hub has a comprehensive calendar of upcoming earnings releases, so you can stay ahead of the game. They have a handy X page too!

6. The Big Picture: Market Data and Trends 📈📉

Multpl - This site is great for getting a handle on historical market valuations. Are we in bubble territory, or is there still value to be found? Multpl helps you answer those questions.

Trading Economics - For the macro-minded among us, Trading Economics is a treasure trove of economic data from around the globe. 🌍

Yahoo Finance - Sectors - As well as providing company specific information, Yahoo Finance has a great section on sector data too, helping to identify trends and opportunities across various industries.

7. Brain Food: Research and Analysis 🧠📚

Our World in Data - This might seem a bit left-field, but Our World in Data provides fascinating insights into long-term global trends. It's useful for thinking about the bigger picture and potential investment themes.

FRED - The St. Louis Fed's FRED database is an absolute goldmine of economic data. If you're a data nerd, you'll love it! 🤓

S&P - S&P Global is a leading provider of credit ratings, research, and analytics. A good place to get in-depth analysis on companies and industries.

Fitch - Similar to S&P Global, Fitch Ratings is a major credit rating agency. Their research can be helpful for assessing credit risk.

8. Keeping Companies Honest: Bad Actors Research 😈

Muddy Waters - These guys are like the sheriffs of the stock market. Muddy Waters Research is known for its short-selling campaigns and exposing corporate wrongdoing.

Hindenburg Research - Another short-seller that does deep-dive investigations into companies they believe are overvalued or engaged in fraud. Always interesting to see what they're digging into!

9. Bonus - Wisdom from the Masters: Smart Insights 🦉

Tweedy, Browne - Tweedy, Browne is a well-respected value investing firm. Their commentary is always insightful.

Oaktree Capital - Howard Marks of Oaktree Capital is a legend in the investing world. His memos are a must-read for any serious investor.

Bond Vigilantes - For those interested in the bond markets, the Bond Vigilantes blog from M&G Investments is an excellent read.

Berkshire Hathaway - And of course, we can't forget the Oracle of Omaha himself! Warren Buffett's annual letters to Berkshire Hathaway shareholders are packed with wisdom and wit.

So there you have it!
